St. Anne Pastor to take over as Charismatic Liaison in Archdiocese of San Francisco

Hundreds of Catholics are expected to attend this year's Holy Spirit Conference, an annual three-day event intended to nurture the prayer life of those involved in the charismatic renewal.
The Holy Spirit Conference will be Sept. 16-18 at Archbishop Riordan High School at 175 Phelan Ave. across from City College of San Francisco. The theme will be, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart," Proverbs 3:5.
The active community of charismatics – there are groups in just about every parish in the Archdiocese of San Francisco – is also welcoming a new liaison: St. Anne of the Sunset pastor Father Raymund Reyes.
Father Reyes will assume the liaison position that has been held by Msgr. James Tarantino, who plans to continue his active involvement. Msgr. Tarantino said as vicar of administration and moderator of the curia, he has a natural continuing connection to the charismatic movement in the archdiocese. Continued
Association of Diocesan Liaisons – Toronto, Canada

The Association of Diocesan Liaisons meets every year for an annual retreat, conference and theological symposium. The purpose of the gathering is for the liaisons in the U.S. and Canada to listen to the Lord, grow in his presence, meet, learn, fellowship and network with each other.
This year, Msgr. James Tarantino, Deacon Bill Brennan, Ernie Von Emster and Victor Pioli were in attendance.
2011 Colloquium – Sacrofano, Rome
March 17-21, 2011
Bishops, priests, theologians and lay leaders from around the world gathered together in Rome for an International Colloquium on Baptism in the Holy Spirit. The event, sponsored by International Catholic Charismatic Renewal Services (ICCRS), in collaboration with the Pontifical Council for the Laity, will was held March 17-20 at Fraterna Domus in Sacrofano.
The topic considered by the Colloquium: "Baptism in the Spirit" from biblical, theological, and pastoral points of view, especially in relation to the Sacraments of Initiation and to the new evangelization. The event was attended by approximately 150 invited leaders from various expressions of Catholic Charismatic Renewal worldwide.
